'NOTHING HURTS NOW THAT DIDN'T HURT BEFORE'

First showing of work-in-progress will Saturday the 27th of February in Bergen.

The work starting point is the buddhist principle 'honin'myo' which means: 'from this moment forward' Buddhist philosophy says:

"If you want to understand the causes that existed in the past, look at the results as they are manifested in the present. And if you want to understand what results will be manifested in the future, look at the causes that exist in the present."

Few of us manage to change certain behavioural patterns and succumb to thinking that whatever happens happens. How can we best tap in to this moment now, and create the future that leads to greater happiness? The work struggles with the issue.

Its a hybrid work that includes: contemporary dance, stand up comedy, caricaturetheatre, charactertheatre, tango, prosatext and ,yes, nudity. All in an beautiful, grotesque, personal and profound way.

See again for time and place.

-Dance theatre improvisation courses will be held in Bergen in 2010, if you are interested in information  about these courses email Kristine info@omamotion.com  at Bergen Dansesenter http://www.bergen-dansesenter.no/ in the studio at the 4th floor from Tuesday 1st of February 830pm and lasts for 16 times. The course costs 1730 kr.

These courses challenges performers to improvise using the moment right there and then and staying true to it emotionally. A good atmosphere is built through a strict system of positive feedback within the group on the course.  Each class includes performing for each other, observing each other and giving feeback to create awareness and develop good theatrical skills in improvised performance. As part of the course we will also be performing elsewhere, to rehearse improvising in a more 'challenging' environment than in the group.
